Why our muesli can give your energy? To boost energy, we need to look at a few elements together:
Balancing blood sugar - We want to avoid refined carbs. Bran flakes and rolled oats are whole grains that would not give you sugar crush.
Supporting with a good amount of protein - Black sesame has 23g protein per 100g and pepitas has 19g protein per 100g.
Including lots of iron- Iron deficiency can make you feel really tired. Jujube has 5.09mg of iron per 100g and 217.6 mg vitamin C. Vitamin C also helps iron to be absorbed better in our body. Goji berries also offer a high content of iron and vitamin C.
Magnesium - Jujube has 31 mg of Magnesium per 100g and pepitas are also high in Magnesium.
Essential fats (Omega 3) - The only nuts that are good sources of omega 3 fatty acids are walnut (9.3g per 100g).
